Our Advice

You should not hire any software developer, employee, contractor, or independent company, that advertises that they are an expert in a particular technology. Imagine if you found an advertisement for a carpenter that bragged that they were experts with the Makita circular saw. That would be a red flag that the carpenter focused more on the tools they used than the structures they built. However, note that we purchase Google and Bing ad words that state we are php and .net experts. We do this because potential customers generally enter something like "php developers" when they use Google to search for a developer. If we attempted to respond to those that enter "excellent software developer that can use any technology", we'd have a harder time getting prospects to our website.

As you compare the different companies that provide software development services narrow your choices to just the companies that have a track record of developing a variety of products on a variety of platforms with a variety of different tools.
